Off-road wonders

Jeep just revealed the tailor-made versions of the company’s aggressive off-roaders that will surprise the desert, and they’re all based on the sensational Gladiator pickup.

Most noticeable is the tactical-spec “Five-Quarter.” Per a report from Car and Driver, it’s drawn inspiration on the 1968 Kaiser Jeep M-715, one of the first military trucks ever developed from a production car. Don’t be deceived by its retro appearance that boasts a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcrate Hemi V8 that powers the Five-Quarter with a modern output above 700 horsepower. Although they’re all considered as “concepts,” each of these wild 4x4s is very real and serves as a display for many Mopar performance parts you can shop online.

Read on and be thrilled with Jeep’s Easter Safari list of beastly vehicles (with descriptions from Road and Track):

JEEP JT SCRAMBLER

Rumors are rife that Jeep would name its new Wrangler-based pickup “Scrambler,” after the 1980s CJ8 pickup version. This idea pays direct respect to that truck, with Scrambler-style graphics in a stunning color combo.

JEEP FIVE-QUARTER

This pickup breathed life as a 1968 Jeep M-715, abundant with a free-flow aluminum bed, a chopped roof, a carbon-fiber front bodywork, and a link-and-coil suspension.

JEEP WAYOUT

The Gator Green paint will be available for production anytime soon, while the two-person bed-top tent, gear racks, and side awning, help you hold all the essentials. There are also dual auxiliary fuel tanks that are flush-fit into the bedsides.

JEEP FLATBILL

Incorporated slide-out ramps make loading and unloading the bikes fast and simple, while the 40-inch tires, high-clearance flares, and deeply vented hood furnish the proper Monster Energy aesthetic.

JEEP J6

Though this truck lost its rear doors, it earned 12 inches over the standard five-foot Gladiator bed for improved proportions. The interior, badging and color were inspired by the 1978 Jeep Honcho, and the rig’s wheelbase is similar to that of a four-door Wrangler.

JEEP GLADIATOR GRAVITY

This machine features bed rails and drawers that carry your gear, tube doors, and a bikini roof maximize the open-air experience, and rock rails and a two-inch lift kit with 37-inch tires that supports your desire of getting into the wilderness.

Of all this year’s Gladiator ideas, this is the one you could easily create anew with a credit card and a Mopar catalog.
